Komondor, one of the greenest supercomputers in the world

In the recent TOP 500 list ranking the world's fastest supercomputers, Komondor, the supercomputer of KIFÜ, takes the 229th place, and in the Green500 list published in June ranking the world's most energy-efficient supercomputers, it takes the prestigious 21st place. KİFÜ has imposed very strict energy efficiency criterion on Komondor, thus achieving an outstanding result at global level. The fully direct liquid-cooled HPC (High Performance Computing) infrastructure is capable of producing up to 40 times more cooling power than standard data centre racks. The waste heat produced will be used in the Sports Pool in Debrecen from the next heating season, reducing the cooling demand in a mutually beneficial way.
