Pan-European HPC master course is now open for applications
Until 15 May 2022, the EUmaster4HPC program is receiving applications from students interested in the world of supercomputing and wishing to be among the first ones to profit benefit from this extremely unique opportunity. The master course, which is funded by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), has the mission of no less than raisinge the HPC experts of the next generation and offering various career pathways to students in the colourful world of HPC.
As of September 2022, the EUmaster4HPC program will grant the opportunity of attending this Pan-European HPC training to 50 students. The hosting institutions of the students will includeare the following universities:
- Bulgaria-Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski
- France-Sorbonne Université
- Luxemburg-University of Luxembourg
- Germany-Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg
- Italy-Politecnico di Milano
- Spain-Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya
- Switzerland-Università della Svizzera Italiana
- Sweden-Kungliga Tekniska Hoegskolan
The EUMaster4HPC initiative combines the key players of European HPC education to train students in the following fields via elaborating a common Pan-European curriculum that includes the: design and operation of supercomputers, HPC installation, and other related technologies. In the course of this training program, great emphasis will be placed on innovative teaching methods such as co-training or close relations with various industrial experts from the industry. Establishing a European network of HPC experts will strengthen mobility and mutual cooperation between students, trainers, and various industrial experts. This program, which focuses on mobility, will enable them to gain relevant experience through practical technical courses and interaction with European supercomputing centres.
