Under the aegis of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, the EuroCC and CASTIEL (Coordination and Support for National Competence Centres on a European Level) projects were launched with a view to establishing a complex European network of 33 HPC national competence centres.

The campaign for naming our new supercomputer is over. Voting was organised via our website, where people could choose from a number of options. More than 500 people chose to participate in the ‘christening’, and the competition was very intense with only a few votes deciding the winner.
An HPC development project to be launched in Debrecen
The government allocated 5.8 billion HUF to upgrade the national supercomputer infrastructure and ecosystem in order to achieve the national economic development goals and to maintain international competitiveness. The new supercomputer may be operational in 2022.
