Many high-quality entries were received, it was not easy to choose the top 4 candidates!

Dardel, the supercomputer which would also hold its ground in a gallery Phase 1 of Dardel – the latest Swedish supercomputer – has been delivered. This HPE Cray EX system will become available to researchers with a new GPU partition and a theoretical performance of 13.5 petaflops in the summer of 2022. Hungarian university among the elaboration of the first European MSc training program


The University of Pannonia is also a member of the consortium led by the University of Luxembourg which was hired by the EuroHPC JU to design and implement the first pan- European HPC master’s course pilot program. The courses are expected to begin in August 2022.

TOP500 – The champions maintain their positions


The latest – the 58th – edition of the TOP500 list, which ranks supercomputers, has been released but shows no major changes among the front-runners. We organised our very first HPC Workshop!


The first HPC Workshop organised by the Competence Centre took place on 8 November 2021 in the EDU&FUN Digital Adventure Centre in Budapest. The most important lesson learnt by the 26 participants is that a regular exchange of thoughts is highly necessary.
